The JetSet Family has been wearing Vineyard Vines for a long time. In fact, well before Southern California even knew what VV and it’s pink whale stood for. I can remember the martini & cigar ‘vine’ my husband first ‘tied on’, my Tisbury tote (R.I.P. I loved you so!), the dress I wore when JetSet Tot and I had breakfast inside Cinderella’s Castle in Walt Disney World, but most importantly, the dress my daughter wore on her very first day of Kindergarten. So it was only appropriate when she asked if she could get a new ‘Sunday Best’ dress from Vineyard Vines for her Kindergarten graduation. I wasn’t about to refuse.
VV has a great store at Fashion Island in Newport Beach so we don’t have to guess sizes online anymore; however now we easily spend hours in there mixing, matching, and trying everything on. And let’s not forget the music piping through the speakers. I’m immediately back at ‘The Academy’ missing all my high school girlfriends so much. For an hour I enjoyed a mix tape of all the summer concerts we went to back in New Jersey during our teenage years. Then James Taylor came on and I immediately panicked, “Where’s Brenda? We LOST Brenda!!!” (You St. E’s girls will know what I’m talking about. Holla!)
I’ve always said The JetSet Family’s style was ‘preppy rock and roll’ and without saying, obviously Vineyard Vines how we fly our prepster flag. Because #EveryDayShouldFeelThisGood
