Travel Bloggers to Follow | The JetSet Family

On the JetSet Radar: Travel Bloggers

As The JetSet Family expands and explores uncharted territories with new sections and features this summer, I felt it was really important to celebrate the community that has not only welcomed me with open arms, but the travel bloggers that have inspired me and cared enough to show me the ropes. Keep in mind this is only a snapshot of the many influential travel + lifestyle writers that I follow for many different reasons. Their words captivate, photographs command attention, and first-hand experiences take you on journey that your passport dreams about visiting one day.

It’s not just about searching Google for destinations you are headed to, but the people, places and things this group of travel bloggers have given vision to through their stories of wanderlust. Each one of these stylish travel bloggers have a panache that could very well be the love child of Vogue and Departures, combined with the witty banter of Vanity Fair and the prep school mentality of Town & Country.

When it comes to travel, while I appreciate round-ups that are offered on popular sites for inspiration and ideas, anyone can relay facts from websites and press releases. However, nothing beats the value of recommendations from a trusted source who has lived it. Some of these bloggers are brutally honest, and some like The JetSet Family only feature what we regard as our favorites.

Shameless plug…

Review overview
  • Grace June 3, 2014

When I am researching places to go I turn to bloggers first. A lot of bloggers are mom’s, I know they are real people, and I respect their opinion. Not to mention their reviews are well rounded and more in depth than a little snippet on a travel site.

  • Ashley M June 3, 2014

Trip Styler is also one of my favorites! I’ll have to give these others a peek too – good luck on your new endeavours this summer.

  • Christie June 3, 2014

I love this post! I think I might borrow your brilliant idea and do a Fashion Bloggers one!

I’m actually a home body and traveling is not really my thing. I do love the local areas and exploring my own state and rely on friends and family for their advise and experience.
