I know, I know, I’ve been kind of quiet lately. Well, if you haven’t realized by now when the silence is deafening I’m up to big things. HUGE. It’s when I’m the busiest and prepping behind-the-scenes to bring great stuff to The JetSet Family. I also know you’ve all been patiently waiting to hear about all the fun details about the world premiere of Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted world premiere in Hollywood and the after-party JetSet Tot and I attended. I want to send a very special thank you to Savvy Sassy Moms and Suave Kids for making this happen and to Right Bank Babies for JetSet Tot’s fantastic red carpet couture. It was time for this JetSet Muppet Family to hit the red carpet.
Muppets Most Wanted World Premiere Red Carpet
All I wanted to know was, “Which designer was Miss Piggy going to wear to the premiere?” This is Hollywood and Miss Piggy has over the years become a style icon thanks to her impeccable sense of style. I’m excited to announce that the star of Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted wore none other than the divine Ms. Vivienne Westwood.
My favorite red carpet look of the night goes to the beautiful actress who is known to follow me everywhere, (no, really, she does…,) Modern Family’s very own, Julie Bowen. Please look at this ensemble. I would wear this in a heartbeat. This hot mama gets double air-kisses.
Don’t trip because we’re about to drop some serious names
What other celebs did we bump into on the red carpet? Oh, just a few (dozen)… Tucker Albrizzi (Good Luck Charlie), Matt Barnes (NBA Clippers), Catherine Bell (Army Wives), Cameron Boyce (Jessie), Karan Brar (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), Hayden Byerly (Parenthood), Candace Cameron Bure (Dancing with the Stars), Francesca Capaldi (Dog with a Blog), Nestor Carbonell (The Dark Knight), Angie Everhart, Ali Fedotowsky (The Bachelorette), Josh Groban (multi-platinum recording artist), Samantha Harris (Dancing with the Stars), Skai Jackson (Jessie), David Koechner (Anchorman), Peyton List (Jessie), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), Bret McKenzie (Flight of the Concords), Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict (Sister, Sister), Dylan Posti (WWF Smackdown!), Charlotte Ross (NYPD Blue), Jake Short (A.N.T. Farm), Alison Sweeney (Biggest Loser), Danny Trejo, Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) and Justin Mikita, and Constance Zimmer (House of Cards and Entourage).
And of course, Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Ty Burrell who we mingled with at the after-party.
Lights! Camera! Action!
While the red carpet was fun, inside the theater was enough to give you superstar whiplash. It was really hard to concentrate when you have Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Melora Hardin (The Office), Tito Ortiz (UFC), Jared Fogle (Subway), Nick Wheeler (All American Rejects), and Beth Littleford (Dog with a Blog), sitting just a few seats next to you. You try not to stare, but everywhere you look is someone you recognize from the screen and the stage — so it’s almost impossible to act casual. I mean, we’ve all been there and know how hard it is to act like NBD. It starts to become a big deal.
Muppets World Tour
I can’t wait to hear what your review is of the movie. I will say, Ty Burrell and Sam the Eagle steal the show. When it came to this duo, the writing and chemistry was fantastic. Those two could have a blockbuster hit themselves – I’d watch, and laugh, like really loudly. And obvs, I loved anything with the Electric Mayhem. And keep on the look out because if you blink, you might miss one of the fab cameos.
Muppets Most Wanted: The After-Party
It started to get late, and I knew we had a drive, but I’m so glad that we stopped by the after-party held at The Aztec. The star-studded event served an array of foods to compliment the Muppets “World Tour” and a bunch of craft stations for the kids. It was also elbow-to-elbow packed with celebs. You think the red carpet was good? Wait until you find yourself in a “Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Ty Burrell” sammie with a side of Josh Groban and Rich Sommer from Mad Men (which I love, love, love Harry Crane.) Now *that’s* a party. Tot and I found ourselves literally stuck in between this group and was caught in the crossfire of the conversation.
My run-in with B-613
However, that was nothing because I came face-to-face with only inches to spare with Quinn’s B-613 assassin boyfriend, Charlie (George Newbern) from Scandal. I gasped, he laughed, I stumbled on my words and said something stupid and forgettable, he said, “Hey, I’m really happy I am alive every week,” I said, “Me, too! I rooting for you — STAY ALIVE!” and there may or may not have been fist pumps.Yes, me and the son-in-law from Father of the Bride had a serious moment.
A Bravo TV moment
Around another corner was Bravo TV’s own Millionaire Match’s, Patti Stanger. I wanted to give my fellow Essex County Jersey Girl some love, but I was making some crafts with Tot and probably had glitter on my nose. For those wondering, she’s gorgeous in person. Like really, really attractive.
I’d say the night was a success. I had a fantastic “Girls Night Out” at the theater with my favorite girl. She is always my favorite date.
