CUCINA enoteca

CUCINA enoteca vasi

CUCINA enoteca very well might be the perfect restaurant. Perfect for family dinners, perfect for date night and perfect for a night out with the girls. I know this, because I’ve participated in all three and each visit has been memorable leaving us for wanting more. I try not to pick favorites, but since this is my blog – I think I’ve fallen head over heels for this place. I seem to find every and any excuse to visit – offering it up every chance I get.

With something on the menu for everyone, even those in search of flavorful gluten-free options, CUCINA enoteca delivers nothing but the best. This upscale casual California inspired Italian kitchen and wine shop prepares superstar dishes by serving sustainable and organic ingredients procured by local farmers. The biggest standout being the fresh pasta dishes which are served al dente and made from scratch on the premise daily.

What to Order?

So what are these dishes that have me so smitten? Well let’s begin with the super popular vasi appetizers. These mini mason jara with pane misti are a must. My favorite is the Burrata + Roasted Garlic Confit; and Gorgonzola Walnut Mousse + Pear.  The jars go very nicely with the three-glass red wine flight.

The Pear + Gorgonzola Pizza with caramelized onions, pecans, arugula and aged balsamic is absolutely delicious; however I’m so intrigued by the Cremini, Hen of the Woods and Oyster Mushroom Pizza with goat cheese, fried onion and truffle oil, that I might have to grab one on the go the next time I feel like making reservations for dinner.

JetSet Dad swears by the Cucina Burger. He loves the braised short rib topped with melted fiscalini cheddar and honey mustard aioli. I’m not really surprised — anything with cheese is amazing.

Speaking of short ribs, the Short Rib Pappardelle with cremini mushrooms, carrots and parmigiano is my jam. So yummy that it’s been impossible for me to take the plunge and actually order anything else. You really must try it during one of your visits. It’s heavy, but tastes even better the day after.

After dinner, we usually split something sweet, and the dolci winners are the Zeppoles, Italian style donut holes with orange cinnamon crema and cardamon sugar with hot apple cider sauce. The Pear Conserva served with brown butter, salted walnuts and sherbet is also completely delightful.
