Chevrolet: Keeping Online Families Connected

Keeping us Connected. This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Chevrolet. The opinions and text are all mine.

When the counter representative at the airport car rental kiosk upgraded us to a brand new Chevrolet Suburban, I was a bit apprehensive. “It’s quite large,” I thought. “I wonder if I’ll get used to it? It is a beautiful color.” Oh, I did. And quickly. Within minutes of navigating about  JFK’s terminal circus, I was cruising over the GWB declaring this The JetSet Family’s new favorite ride.

Chevrolet Wi-Fi

Mixing Business with Pleasure

Fast forward to summer 2014. I find out that Chevrolet is the first automotive company bringing 4G LTE Wi-Fi to the masses in their cars, trucks and crossovers. My reaction? Sing it with me kids… “Dreaaaam Carrrrr!” As a family, we’re thrilled because wifi internet access allows us to do more. As a blogger, I’m doing Mr. Miyagi kung-fu kicks.

Having this big mobile wireless hotspot at our disposal will allow my husband to work more efficiently while on the road seeing clients, and not stressed and disconnected while on vacation. Sometimes it can be difficult to take days off and go off the grid because we simply need the connectivity, and Chevrolet is making that possible. Awww, shucks, thanks guys!

Chevrolet Wi-Fi

Game Changer

The available built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi has an impressive signal and bandwidth for up to seven devices. This signal is stronger than your smartphone and that’s huge. Tot has brought up camping a few times, which we all know  is a plea I basically ignore. But with Chevrolet’s OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi, being out in the middle of nowhere doesn’t sound so boring to me anymore.

I can bring the shopping and entertainment directly to camp. Now that sounds like a fun plan. If only we could figure out the bathroom and bathing situation, I might actually consider some type of camping shenanigans. I mean, after all, if Oprah and Gayle can do it, so can The JetSet Family. “Siri, do any good sushi places deliver around Yosemite?”
