Athleta: City Pant

Let’s just sing Hallelujah now. Once you’ve discovered Athleta, there’s no going back. Life has changed so much  since my last Athleta post, but the discovery of their City Pants make my crazy days so much better. Recently, Athleta sent me on another shopping trip to pick up a few things at their Newport Beach location. I really love working side-by-side with this company and their styles are perfect for my lifestyle.

Being constantly on the go, it’s not hard to want to immediately stockpile a dozen or so of the City Pant bottoms. Just because I’m JetSet “MOM” seeking comfort, does not mean I want to become a slave to the traditional yoga pant.  With Athleta’s City Pant, I can easily think of five great styles off the top of my head that are the exact opposite of traditional and come in the color palette that enhance the existing pieces in my closet.

So now what to pair with these gems?

On my most recent trip, I snagged up a pair of the Allegro 2 City Pant in Shale because I loved the feel of the Featherweight Stretch™ as the weather gets warmer and it has UPF 50+ protection. My only regret? Not snatching up a pair in black as well. Hover your cursor over each piece for pricing or click to buy.

Even though we’re in April, my morning Starbucks runs are still on the chilly side so I wanted something to layer on top of my tanks. I decided on the Hooded Batwing and Robin top in Charcoal Heather to go with the Allegro 2’s.  I feel that it is a good compliment, and Athleta’s innovative dolman-sleeve with retro-sweatshirt design and crossover hood is super stylish. The fact that I can be stylish and comfy pre-coffee fix is a blessing from the heavens.

The Athleta piece I’m dying to add to my collection this season is the Light Wander Wrap. I might go crazy and order the Dress Blue Heather. It is such a beautiful silhouette and could compliment so many other pieces out of my closet as well.

And as June Gloom quickly approaches, I have my eye on the All Good Anorak for good measure. It’s perfect for summer layering and has a hood for wet days and rollable sleeves which I love. Color of choice? Flint Grey.

Why am I so hooked on Athleta? That’s easy. Their Give-It-A-Workout Guarantee is amazing. If it doesn’t perform, return it for FREE. That eliminates any potential buyers remorse and a company with that type of policy and such stylish clothes deserves my brand loyalty. Oh, and all online orders over $50 include FREE shipping and FREE returns on ALL orders.

Now this type of sports wear is for me! I am not one of those that like to bare all so this would be perfect. And I would not feel bad at all wearing them to the store.
