OK, so how come y’all never let me in on OC’s little secret about Bruxie being such a great lunch spot? You guys are slacking! Tot and I just experienced some of the new items being featured on their menu as well as existing favorites and I can’t stop thinking about them. Don’t let the fast-casual atmosphere fool you, every item on that menu is inspired and served with fresh flavorful ingredients and reasonably priced.
Bruxie, I think I love you.
So for those who are still in the dark, where do I start? We’re talking gourmet waffle sandwiches, burgers, custard, crazy awesome pure cane sugar sodas, and the bomb-dot-com salads. But we’ll get to all those in a minute.
Bruxie has revolutionized sandwiches by incorporating a modern twists and turns on classic favorites using authentic Belgian Waffles as the bread. Yes, light, airy, savory (not sweet) waffles. Now I have your attention. So pair these waffles with everything and anything like Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Portobello & Goat Cheese, and real Wisconsin frozen custard and you have an instant party.
So the secret is out, and you can bet I’m going to order the Roasted Portabello & Goat Cheese salad or sandwich with fresh basil and balsamic reduction and sun-dried tomatoes every. single. time.
There are Bruxie restaurants all over Orange County with others opening soon in Santa Monica, San Diego and Las Vegas. And at each of these locations, they offer a variety of daily specials which you can bet I’ll be in line come Fourth of July when they serving up fresh Maine Lobster Rolls.
