Blue Plate Taco
Next time you are in Santa Monica look for Sam at Blue Plate Taco at 1515 Ocean Avenue. That’s right, I’m demanding this. When you make your reservation (which are recommended,) make sure to request Sam as your server and you’re welcome!
Blue Plate Taco not only received wide eyes, huge smiles and two-thumbs up from JetSet Tot for the meal and decor, but, Sam, our server was beyond awesome. Fun, courteous, and really had a great respect towards a six year old. As a parent, I liked that. It put me at ease and allowed me to enjoy my dining experience as well.
The Blue Plate Taco Experience
I know you are all shocked because I rarely eat at Mexican restaurants, but JetSet Tot really wanted to try this place and what can I say? She picked a winner! I knew the moment we walked in that if the meal matched the decor we were in for a treat. Since I do not know much about the flavors of Mexican food, I am going to allow our photos do the talking; however I will say, I thought it was outstanding, fresh, and I really enjoyed it so that’s saying A LOT.
Our lunch was fantastic and JetSet Tot’s expression when she tried Fresh fried churros served with crema and caramel for the first time was priceless. She loved the crema and caramel so much that Sam brought her out a spoon so she could scoop out every last bite!
Thank you, Sam and Blue Plate Taco for a wonderful afternoon. We can’t wait to bring back JetSet Dad the next time we staycation again in Santa Monica. (Oh, and thanks for giving JetSet Tot 4,590 packs of Chiclets!)
