2014 Hyundai Azera Limited Trump National Golf Club Valet Los Angeles

The minute I spy days-off on JetSet Tot’s school calendar in our near future, my wheels start spinning. Only this time, our “wheels” were literally provided by our good friends at Hyundai. They dropped off a sleek 2014 Hyundai Azera Limited for us to experience during our Rancho Palos Verdes Peninsula getaway.

As I mentioned in my Step One: Car Buying post, the best way to determine if the auto is the right fit it is important to arrange a proper long term test drive when possible. This way, not only can you get a solid feel for the automobile, but you can determine whether you can really imagine yourself owning this car for the next few years.

Let’s just cut to the chase, the 2014 Hyundai Azera Limited is a pretty car. It has substance and there is no denying the fact at any angle, this set of wheels is a looker. Such a looker that I couldn’t wait to pull up to the valet line. But what about practicability and optional features?  Answer: yes, yes and YES! Just wait until you see the complete 2014 Hyundi Azera Limited gallery at the end of this post. Seeing is believing.

First Stop: Brunch at Terranea Resort

See, I told you she was going to turn heads at the valet line and she did. In a sea of luxury automobiles, not only did she hold her own, but she was the most talked about. I kid you not! We were approached a questioned about the car on three different occasions.

And brunch wasn’t too shabby either…

Next up: Discovery Point Trail

For those with a little time to spare, I highly recommend hiking the Discovery Point Trail after brunch. The views are incredible and it’s a great way to fight the food coma you are about to succumb to after that incredible brunch. Pay close attention and listen for the sound of bells, because guests at Nelson’s restaurant will toll the bell when sea life mammals like whales, dolphins and sea lions are spied off the coast.

Rancho Palos Verdes Beach

During our early afternoon hike, we spotted a lighthouse in the distance. This definitely piqued our interest and we couldn’t get up there and snoop around quick enough.

San Vicente Light and Interpretive Center Rancho Palos Verdes

The Pt. Vicente Lighthouse and  Point Vicente Interpretive Center did not disappoint. The park is available from dawn to dusk and dogs on a leash are welcomed. The museum is opened daily from 10am – 5pm.

bashi: Happy Hour

The afternoon flew by starting to get a little hungry, and could clearly see the sun was beginning to set. Rancho Palos Verdes has some of the most incredible sunsets in the world, so we wanted a front row seat while noshing on oysters + good eats over at Chef Bruce’s bash. Bashi serves contemporary Asian and our family loved it so much that one weekend we had dinner, at the leftovers for breakfast and returned the next day for lunch.

Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles

We had a few good minutes left of sunlight and wanted to take advantage of the beautiful photo ops at Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles. The weather was beautiful and I’d be lying if I said we weren’t hoping to catch a glimpse of “The Donald.”

2014 Hyundai Azera Limited

I’m impressed. This car hugged those turns on the California coastal road with ease and passion.  Beyond the style, I was comfortable, loved the way the ride felt, impressed with the options and enjoyed our little road trip. Be prepared, it is a bit heavy on gas for a sedan. The backseat is not as booster seat friendly as we had hoped. For stability, we needed to have our daughter seated in the middle. The booster would easily shift on either window seat. The trunk space was fantastic, as was the overall visibility.

This car looks perfect for in terms of size and how stylish it is. Our warranty is up soon, so we’ll be shopping for a new car soon and I’m adding this to the list.

After driving a Hyundai for the first time this summer during a roadtrip through Alabama, I have to say that it was so much fun – I’ll never forget roadtrippin’ in a Hyundai! Looks like you had a wonderful trip. I love that this model has so much trunk space, I can always use that!
