Packing for Spring Break

OshKosh B'gosh #InstantSpring

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for OshKosh B’Gosh. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Another season, another growth spurt. Figures Kiddo’s latest one lined up perfectly with our spring break getaway. Preparing for family vacations doesn’t have to be overwhelming, but when you are in need of all new sizes, I can feel the tiny beads of sweat start to form above my brow. I’ve learned to do my best by color coordinating a few outfits for Kiddo to keep packing at a bare minimum.

So far, so good. I’m loving the navy blues, with coral accents this summer from our friends at OshKosh B’gosh. We’ve had a great partnership over the last two seasons, and I couldn’t wait to see what they were about to introduce for #ImagineSpring. Just in time for Spring Break and Easter.

Once again, I found myself on a mission. I had a specific checklist in mind for this shopping spree and I really didn’t want to break the bank either. We were headed to Hawaii in a few days, and I was on the hunt to find clothes that are appropriate for the warmer weather, comfortable for the long plane trips, and a few long sleeve options for those chilly Hawaiian evenings for our walks home after dinner and nighttime star-gazing.

When you are eight, style and comfort are key. First order of business was something great and cozy for the six hour plane ride, with the least amount of buttons and zippers thanks to those “spacious” airplane restrooms. That’s when Kiddo spotted this adorable cotton dress with coral playground shorts. Planes tend to be on the chilly side, so this outfit is perfect to take on the friendly-skies in style.

Kiddo had one firm request: lots of dresses and skirts. So we skipped right past the adorable shorts and tops outfits, and made a beeline for the back wall where we found a great style story. But I couldn’t ignore play clothes completely. Kiddo would be spending some time at Auntie’s Beach House, so this raglan top paired with boyfriend jeans was a perfect solution.

What is a vacation without Sunday brunch? It’s a special time for our family and friends to because it’s the last morning we have together as a family with our friends that stayed with us during the week. This simple cotton dress with coral tie and playground shorts will also provide the ideal outfit for our return flight home to LAX.

Then there was this adorable tank with flair skirt.  Talk about perfect for our dinner reservation at AMA AMA. Not to dressy, not too casual, just ideal for dining besides the water, and watching the most beautiful sunset in the world.

As the sun set and the night became chillier, the outfit looked great with a simple denim jean jacket in either blue or white. (P.S. This skirt is the bestest in the whole world for twirling!)

A few nights into our trip, the temperature dropped a few degrees right before our scheduled Menehune scavenger hunt. I’m happy we packed this set we found at Oshkosh. These white denim capris with navy anchors and 3/4 sleeve Bon Voyage tee might very well could be my favorite of the whole bunch.

As you can see, there was no need to pack anything else but her swimsuits! This plain navy shirt dress with nice sandals or summer shoes was another fantastic solution to play clothes – especially since she can wear her swimsuit underneath and should she decide she’d rather head to the beach and paddle board. The style was also appropriate for our shopping excursions and dining at restaurants.

GRAND TOTAL: $100.08

Yes, you read that correctly. I bet you are just as surprised as I was! The grand total for 11 pieces was just pennies over $100. (Pieces not shown: playground shorts, denim jacket and jeans.) I used my 25% off coupon for OshKosh B’gosh that you can find below and managed to get an entire season of outfits out the door for a hundred bucks. Score!  And the best part is your family can too.

Once again, it’s been a pleasure partnering with OshKosh B’gosh for the third season and I can’t wait to see what will be coming down the runways next time!
