Bluey KLM Movie

Sponsored Post | The JetSet Family

If you are a regular reader of The JetSet Family, chances are you’ve experienced flying with a young child. Some of us have had great experiences, and some of us have the type of stories nightmares are made of.  KLM Royal Dutch Airlines wants to change all that.

Making Family Travel Fun

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines reached out and asked us to share a new series of short animated films featuring their wonderful KLM mascot, Bluey. This adorable little aircraft invites passengers and their pint-sized jetsetters to follow his big adventures. In his theatrical debut, Bluey, his father and his friend Windy head to the annual Zundert flower parade for a very exciting journey.

Watch as Bluey comes to life in “Bluey The Movie” on KLM’s YouTube channel and onboard the aircraft during all intercontinental KLM flights starting June. But for now, here’s a sneak peek:

In addition to the animated shorts, several Bluey products are available as well. Everything from keycords, trolleys and card games, to Bluey meal boxes for child passengers on international flights. Those travelling without a parent or guardian are invited to visit the newly renovated KLM Junior Jet Lounge at Schiphol where Mascot Bluey will be a permanent fixture as well.

Look for Bluey! Family Check-in

Extremely popular amongst the jetsetting tots, see if you can spot Bluey around the airport and on board. Those departing from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol can look for the desk with the Bluey sign. KLM agents will not only assist your family with check-in, but you can also drop off your baggage and kids even get a little surprise!

YUM! Kids Meals

Special children’s meals on intercontinental KLM flights are available for kids 2 and older at no extra cost. These meals must be ordered at least 24 hours before departure. The menu varies, but Bluey is in each box along with a junior pilot adventure game or junior pilot diploma.

Those under the age of 2 will receive a complimentary Bluey bib courtesy of KLM.

On European flights, the mini-globetrotters receive a Bluey passport holder and activity book.

If you ever travel with kids internationally you cannot underestimate the value of this. It really does make your trip much more enjoyable. We have not tried KLM yes (we’ve been traveling to Asia) but I am definitely putting them in our Europe carrier list just because of this. With two kids 5 and under I can use all the help I can get.

This is great! It’s always important to keep kid travel fun and easy. i like the idea of the activities and kids meal. I’ve never flown Royal Dutch before… but I may need to consider them now!

This is really great! We’ve never flown with our children yet, but if we ever were to fly internationally, it’s good to know about things like this available.

I have been on several vacations that required flight time. I have seen several families struggle with their kids and trying to keep them entertained although I’ve never flown with kids. This is a super great idea for families and kids.

This is really good to know. I have four kids and while we haven’t all gone on a plane together we are planning a vacation next spring where we will be flying so I am glad to know more about this. Thanks!

We are traveling in a few months out of the country! What a great idea! It’s always hard to travel with little ones on big plane trips. This is a great idea. I think more airlines should do this!

How fun! I love that there is so much for the kids.

  • Heather April 15, 2015

This is great, I’m sure flying with children can be fun or daunting. This looks like it makes it a little easier.

  • Audrey M April 15, 2015

Traveling with kids can be very stressful! I am thankful mine travel better now than they did when they were younger. Sounds like a great airline.

  • Rosey April 16, 2015

I love when an airline reaches out to make things better for the kids. We had a great experience on one international airline once that I remember fondly.

This is really cool. I like how they have extra benefits for the kids.
