My life as a travel + lifestyle blogger can get crazy around the holidays, so I’m grateful to Intel for providing me with a Microsoft Surface 3 to stay organized.
Being a travel + lifestyle blogger, my life behind-the-scenes isn’t always as glamorous as it seems on the monitor. Truth be told, it’s quite chaotic. Between balancing my editorial calendar, Kiddo’s extra-curricular activities calendar, our travel schedule, Hubs business trip schedule, blogging events, our social calendar, and every other date under the sun, I have no idea if I’m coming or going. I need an virtual assistant.
But the problem is, I don’t really want one. I long for a devise that I can keep with me at all times and have the world and our schedules at the tips of my fingers 24/7. So for those nights I wake up in the hotel room of a strange city panicking that I’ve missed a deadline, I’m covered. Let’s just say it’s happened more than once.
Enter the Surface 3 from Microsoft
Lightweight and portable, my Surface 3 is never far behind. In one week, I found myself bringing the tablet with me everywhere. With sleep barely from my eyes, and coffee in hand, I researched our latest trip to Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village for our annual LetItSnow holiday weekend, grabbed concert tickets to the Royal Machines show, and my latest blog post from the road because I just didn’t feel like bringing my laptop.
The entire time, I had all of our scheduled synced to one calendar which made finalizing future plans a breeze direct from the Action Center.
So remember how I said that I needed a virtual assistant? Well after all of this time being a blogger, I finally have my very own virtual assistant. Her name is Cortana and she’s a keeper. All I have to do is voice my needs and my wish is her command. Thanks, Cortana!
My Own Personal Headquarters
I now consider the Surface 3 my mobile office. The “Virtual desktop” is not only great for keeping me organized, but has a fabulous camera allowing me to I leave my beloved DSLR behind. Quite honestly, I’m not sure how I’ve managed this long without it.
Easy as Riding a Bike
I’m going to be honest, I haven’t used Windows in years, so I was a bit apprehensive at first. But the truth is OS is clean, familiar, easy to understand and a wealth of new features. I enjoyed working on the Intel-based Surface 3 immensely and I look forward to taking my new sidekick into 2016!
How would the Microsoft Surface 3 make your life easier?
