Winter Wonderland

Let It Snow!

Four years. We’ve been visiting the Four Seasons Westlake Village for their annual Winter Wonderland every December since Kiddo was six years old and it just keeps getting better and better. Four Seasons Westlake Village will always be considered one of my most favorite hotels here in Southern California, but especially during the holidays. My daughter (and husband) still love going down to the holiday character breakfast in their PJs, and I love the Christmas vibe that flows through the entire property.

The Let It Snow event featuring Santa Claus always gets us into the Christmas spirit, and creates the best holiday memories for our family. Kiddo tells Santa what she wants for Christmas, this year was a cool bounce house, s’more roasting, cooking decorating with Mrs. Claus and snow! Yes, snow! Don’t be a Grinch and be sure to hop on the holiday express train because you never know who may pop up! Elf tuck-ins are available, as is a special “Elf on the Shelf” I-spy game, and Menorah lighting.

Holidazzling!

And let’s not forget those luxurious Four Seasons beds for when you’ve had all the fa-la-la-la-la you can possibly take for the night.  This Winter Wonderland package is available on specific weekends throughout December with holiday character breakfasts available on Saturday and Sunday mornings with three seating times in the Lobby Lounge Restaurant. There is also a photo op to strike a pose with your favorite characters, this year being Belle and Beast.

Be sure to catch Elf story time which takes place in the Wellness Center Living Room, and don’t miss out on taking advantage of grabbing a bite to eat at ONYX Restaurant for dinner. The Miso Black Cod with miso eggplant, tofu, and spinach with sweet soy drizzle, is amazing; and the Five Spiced Chicken Breast with duck spring roll, duck confit, Chinese broccoli, white asparagus, yuzu balsamic reduction and orange chili sauce is the stuff dreams are made of.

Snow, Sand, and Air Force One

Our itinerary changes from year-to-year when we visit FSWV. Some years we have visited the beaches of Malibu, and others we’ve gone to The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library for a tour. But most times, there really isn’t a good reason to leave the hotel! Kiddo loves spending time in the indoor pool, I can’t get enough of The Spa (I mean it, I could spend all day there,) and Hubs loves watching his football games while noshing on lunch at The Lookout.
