I created this post as part of a campaign by Teva Pharmaceuticals. I received an American Express gift card for participating. Jennifer Morrison is a paid spokesperson working with Teva Pharmaceuticals to raise awareness of the More To Migraine campaign.
Boy, is it back.
Back with a vengeance.
I often think, “How can I be in so much pain?” I then remember if it were just pain, I could probably muster through. But no, they bring their besties: Nausea, Vomiting and Sensitivity for full-on days long rager.
We might be in the midst of what I call “migraine season” because of the weather, but this one is clearly the result of lack of proper sleep. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, and after waking early for Kiddo’s school 5K, then cannonballing down to San Diego to see family, all I wanted to do was get a good night sleep. But hubs is a snorer and we’re talking Olympic gold medalist. If he falls asleep first, I don’t have a fighting chance. I tossed and turned all night only to give up at 4:45 am and start my work.
The reason I know this is a lack of sleep migraine is because years ago when I was first diagnosed with suffering from chronic migraines I kept a Migraine Diary. And it worked. I was able to jot down what I ate, possible triggers and my daily activities to being connecting the dots and identify patterns. I can’t recommend this enough, also make sure to include what you are experiencing in addition to the pain. Are you sick to your stomach? Are you sensitive to light or sound? Which area(s) of your head aches? And how do these migraines limit you and impact your day?
I’m not the only own you know who suffers with migraines. So does actress and film producer, Jennifer Morrison, who you may know better as Emma Swan on ABC’s Once Upon a Time or as Dr. Allison Cameron on FOX’s House. This year, she’ll appear on More To Migraine.com and the More To Migraine Facebook page.
