Virginia Beach Photo Ops

If Virginia is for Lovers, then clearly Virginia Beach is for true romantics and lovers of life. A quintessential year-round destination for those seeking a couples getaway, it’s almost impossible to bid adieu to warm sand beach strolls, cool breezes and delicious favors. Before you know it, it’s time to return to reality. But Virginia Beach is not your typical vacation, and it is more than just a beach. Just like everyone who makes the journey, they have three beaches offering unique experiences on the ocean or on the bay and oh, so much more.

Virginia Beach: Live The Life

So let’s dig in and discuss some of the must-see slash must-do spots Virginia Beach has to offer, but better yet, let’s touch base on some of the most amazing photo-ops to capture your moments for years to come. Ummm…and not to mention make all of your social media buds jelly with envy! Because c’mon, in this day in age, if it’s not Instagram, it never happened!

Unless you live in South Beach or Southern California, the word “beach” is synonymous with summertime. That’s not the case with Virginia Beach. As I mentioned earlier, it’s a year-round destination, but autumn is pure magic. Not just an extension of summer, it’s has this infectious personality that will have you making plans for your return visit even before you’ve checked-out of your hotel room accommodations.

Resort Beach (a.k.a. #vbresortlife)

King Neptune :: Hop on a surrey and ride down Resort Beach’s three-mile boardwalk as you soak up the nostalgia of Virginia Beach days gone by. But, the best part? You just simply can’t leave Virginia Beach without snapping a quick selfie with the iconic King Neptune statue. He is a bonafide celebrity (besides Pharrell Williams,) of Virginia Beach and a must-do.

ViBE Creative District :: Who doesn’t love beach cruisers? I mean they are only the coolest, and best mode of transportation while on vacay! Ride one to ViBE Creative District and explore the art galleries and shops where there are tons of backdrops perfect for catching those special moments.

Sandbridge Beach (a.k.a. #vbislandlife)

Cozied up between the Atlantic Ocean and Bay Bay Wildlife Refuge, you will find the most stunning beachfront home rentals surrounded by sand dunes. I’m telling you, you cannot get any more charming than this.

Sunset Adventure :: Looking to capture some memorable quality time, kayak through the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge to Little Island Park at sunset. It doesn’t get much more romantic “kissy – kissy” thank this. Wink, wink!

Nom, Nom :: So now after you’ve spent time paddle boarding the soaking up the sun, I promise you are not going to want to miss snapping a photo of one of the best meals you’ve ever enjoyed. It’s called freshly caught blue crabs and they are the things made of.

Chesapeake Bay Beach (a.k.a. #vbbaylife)

The one photograph that will haunt you forever should you skip is one of the Camp Henry Lighthouse. It’s another amazing spot to catch the sunset over the the water, or from a tour on a Pleasure House Oyster’s oyster-farm boat on the Lynnhaven River. This is where the outdoorsy types can hike the historic trails of First Landing State Park and the top of the lighthouse. We should just title this area: Selfies Galore.

I was able to visit 2 years back but wasn’t able to spend much time on the beach because of the uncooperative weather. So I have a great reason to come back soon!
