The uber popular East Hampton eatery, Babette’s, now has a left coast home in Crystal Cove and we are loving on it so hard. One of my favorite things to do is grab breakfast on the weekends near the ocean, and I was beyond excited to stop by this brand new hot spot on a recent food tour of restaurants in Newport Beach.
It’s impossible to ignore the views of the Pacific Ocean landscape, but while dining at Babette’s, it’s simply a pretty backdrop that compliments the restaurants east coast vibe decor. Which I happen to be head over heels for.
Sticking with the standard Southern California diet of organic, farm-fresh market salads, seafood plates and vegan-friendly fare, Babette’s is on the fast-track of becoming Newport Beach’s best weekend brunch / lunch spot. You can’t help to appreciate Babette’s dishes with farm-picked produce and locally sustainably-sourced meats and seafoods which support local purveyors.
Whether you are up for a full-dining experience, coffee and pastries, or Bloody Mary’s in the garden courtyard, I promise – you are going to love Babette’s. And don’t worry if you sleep in, Babette’s serves breakfast until 4pm! You can bet the next time I go I’ll be ordering the Champignon omelette with wild mushrooms, fromage blanc and fine herbs. Oooooooh. Ahhhhhh.
Tip: Do yourself a really big favor and go this weekend. I’m telling you, the moment foodies catch wind of Babette’s the line and wait is going to become astronomical. Yes, that’s how amazing this place is. Oh, and you’re welcome!
