I’m sure many of you have already heard by now, there’s a new kid in town. Please join me in welcoming the grocery store, ALDI, to Southern California! I’m so excited for this new addition to Orange County because I’ve heard so many wonderful things and I strongly feel it is important to use only the best, high quality foods when preparing meals for the ones we love. ALDI makes it possible for families to enjoy the benefits of affordable high-quality, organic, fresh produce, and natural top choice meats and dairy with their meals.

ALDI Southern California

Greetings from ALDI

One of the very first things I noticed on my maiden voyage to our new ALDI store in Anaheim was how the innovative style ALDI compared to traditional grocery shopping. Majority of the items were their own exclusive brand allowing me to save up to 50%* on some items based on price comparisons of comparable products sold at other neighboring grocery stores. The fact that premium, natural, and organic food made affordable for all enjoy is something ALDI should be very proud of accomplishing. What an amazing gift to give to our communities and families.

The layout was great, the store was clean and the service was warm and friendly. I can now see why people enjoy shopping at ALDI so much.

I had a few recipes in mind and was specifically on a hunt for seasonal items for an upcoming dinner party I was hosting, along with some gluten-free products for my GF friends!

SimplyNature® includes USDA Certified organic and Non-GMO verified products

A huge selection of liveGfree® gluten-free products

USDA Choice meats

NeverAny! products that are free from added antibiotics, hormones and animal by-products.

What to Know Before You Go…

  • Bring a quarter! In order to keep costs down, ALDI does not employ staff members to retrieve grocery carts around the parking lot. Instead, you pay $0.25 for a cart, and once you load your trunk up and return the cart, you are reimbursed your quarter.
  • Don’t forget your shopping bags! You can either purchase grocery bags directly from the cashier at ALDI or bring your own re-usable shopping totes.
  • Cash or Plastic! It’s 2016, leave your checkbook at home.

Let’s face it, these new ALDI stores in Southern California make my quest for menu prepping a cinch with fresh, high quality, healthy and organic products. The in-store shopping experience was overall enjoyable and I’m thrilled I have somewhere to purchase high quality products at a great value! I am excited to share that ALDI has opened approximately 25 stores in the southland by July.

We have a new ALDI close to us – I should give them another try. We went to one when they first opened and I wasn’t all that impressed, but I’ve heard wonderful things about their produce, so I’m going to give them another try. Thanks

I’ve heard good things about Aldi stores and organic food. Unfortunately, all of the stores around me seem to be in less than desirable areas. I wish they’d open some more so I could give them a try.

I wish we had an ALDI around here- we have a bunch of open stores, since all the A&Ps shut down- tell them to come open some up! 🙂

And I hear they are adding organic! I finally found one of these in New Jersey that is accessible, what a great new shopping option!

I love Aldi’s! They always have a great deal on some yummy food!

I checked it out too this week. My sisters on the east coast have always loved Aldi. All of their house brand products I tried were excellent and the prices are great.

My retired mother does quite a bit of charity and Aldi is a go-to place for the food banks to restock their supply when they’re short donations. We’ve had them in NJ for some time now but I’ve never tried it between Shoprite, Foodtown, and Whole Foods it was never an issue to try another store but I will based on your review. Thank You.
